1971 Chevrolet Nova SS

Since they were brand new a Chevy street machine favorite has always been an early ‘70’s Nova. When properly equipped, the power-to-weight ratio makes them unbeatable on the street or the strip. They are a Rat Fink wheel standing monster shifted Big Daddy Roth classic poster child. The Owner of 7 years, who is moving out of the country, needs to sell his collection and has documentation of the build and a clean and clear title in his name.

The Owner is the builder and can tell you everything you need to know about this beautiful machine. A frame-off restoration, done up Street Legal Drag Racer is the theme here. Mopar doesn’t have a corner on the market when it comes to brightly colored muscle cars and note this is a wrap if Green isn’t your favorite. It’s a head turner balanced with a black interior and those beautiful large diameter black alloy wheels with Wilwood disc brake red calipers behind them.

The roll cage with swing-out side bars looks amazing, but is also necessary and is designed to protect without restricting your access. Modern white faced gauges are easier to read and more accurate than stock. The hood mounted tach sits outside in perfect view. The dash is stock, OG bucket seats look great in Black vinyl and the back seat is deleted. It has everything you need and nothing you don’t with a drag strip flavor that is timelessly done.

The tire scorching 496 Big Block Chevy V8 has a reported 1,000 hp. Positraction 411 makes for a very quick trip to the 711. It is mated to a Turbo 400 automatic transmission. You also get a narrowed Ford 9 inch rear, fuel cell, trunk mounted battery, tubs that make room for Mickey Thompson drag radials and a ‘70’s soundtrack courtesy of a nice set of headers and dual exhaust. A knife handle ratchet and a roll cage remind you of your responsibilities.
