Horticulturists – Gull Lake Country Club

Looking for a hardworking individual to join the Turf Care/Maintenance Team at Gull Lake Country Club as our lead Horticulturist.

Gull Lake Country Club is a full service private club located on the banks of beautiful Gull Lake, about 15-20 minutes from Kalamazoo and Battle Creek. We are looking for an individual that possess a mindset for learning and high attention to details.

The horticulturalist is entrusted with the daily maintenance and general aesthetic effectiveness of the clubhouse grounds and golf course landscape beds, flowers, ground covers, shrubs, small trees, inside flower arrangements and other ornamental displays. Methods of performing daily tasks are usually left to the judgment of the employee with management available for assistance. Daily communication with the golf course superintendent and assistant superintendents to ensure satisfactory status. Assistance from fellow team members is occasionally necessary for completion of joint tasks. The horticulturalist is also responsible to supervise and oversee additional laborers upon request.

*Perennial Beds, Bushes, Ornamental Grasses
*Weeding, Watering, Fertilizing and Plant Protectant Applications
*Inside Table Arrangements and Displays
*Planter Pots and Patio Arrangements
*Maintenance/Water Cart and All Tools Provided

This position also allows team member(s) to work outside on a beautiful picturesque property, a fast pace work environment and a quality TEAM atmosphere! Requirements:

* Must have vehicle and valid drivers license

* 18+ Years old

* Must be able to work 20 – 40 HRS / Week

* Weekends and Holidays (Watering Only if Needed)

* Must have the ability to do physical labor

* Must have a good attitude and work ethic

* Pay will depend on experience and background

**Golfing Privileges**

***Seasonal Position*** Generally April – October (20-40Hrs/Wk) with the opportunity for some part-time work during the spring/fall months as weather/play permits.
