Fleet Maintenance Technician

The Fleet Maintenance Technician will perform vehicle maintenance, repairs, and service to satisfy compliance with vehicle warranties and assist with maintaining company and/or the Client fleet. The Fleet Maintenance Technician will also support the utility department with maintaining cleanliness of exterior and interior of vehicles.

This position is located in Eugene, OR

What will your job look like?

Responsible for maintenance, service, diagnosing, & repair of MTM Transit service vehicles.
Responsible for general maintenance and repairs of MTM Transit facilities and grounds.
Areas of repair to include but not limited to: automotive vehicle, light duty truck, powertrains, undercarriage/ chassis, electronic and electrical equipment, air conditioning and heating systems, wheel chair lifts, and vehicle accessories and equipment drivability and diagnosis.
Assist in maintaining the shop and vehicle cleanliness as needed.
Perform on road repairs as needed.
Record vehicle repair activity into electronic fleet maintenance management system.
Perform additional duties as assigned or required

All you need is:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Must possess a valid Class B CDL or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment
Minimum of 1 year automotive mechanical experience, 4 years preferred
2+ years training, experience or a combination of both preferred
Experience using hand and power tools
Knowledge of Gasoline engine mechanics preferred
Provide own air and hand tools as required

Proficient in computer skills to ensure electronic repair work orders are completed correctly
Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behavior
Ability to attend safety and vehicle repair courses as may be required
Ability to work flexible hours as required
Willing to follow all company policies, procedures, and regulations
Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend, stoop, crawl, and reach above their head
Be drug free and subject to Random Drug and Alcohol Testing
Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
Must be able to conduct yourself in a mature and professional manner
