What is OVTune?
• OVTune is a developer for the vFTuner software.
The software is used to flash your vehicle’s ECU for enhanced performance!

What vehicles do you support?
• 2016+ Toyota Tacoma 3.5L V6 Vehicles.

Do you support the 2.7L I4 Tacoma?
• Sorry, there is no support at this time.

Does my Engine/Trans ECU software need to be updated (Toyota Service Bulletin TSB)?
• Yes, your truck will need to have the latest Toyota ECU software and we will update it for free! Skip the stealership!

If you have Techstream and wish to do it yourself, then the TSB updates are as followed:
For 2016-2018 you need TSB-0062-18
For 2019-2020 you need TSB-0092-20
For 2021 there is no TSB, so you are good to go.

DYNO tested, It incorporates all previous tune package enhancements and further improves on every single factor and engine component. This tune squeezes out the absolute limits of your engine.

+ Throttle enhancements: Increased throttle response, eliminating lag when you press the pedal. Better pedal feel and more power available lower in the RPMs.
+ Shifting enhancement: Fixed Shift points, so that the transmission will shift within the appropriate power band. Reduced gear hunting and smoother shifting.
+ Airflow control enhancements: Smoothened out to give predicable response and power on tap.
+ Torque map enhancements: Fixed power curve for a linear power band.
+ Cruise Control enhancements: Uses Primary shifting map in Cruise Control.

– More user friendly throttle settings/names and just three choices:

Auto Transmission
1. Sport throttle- Aggressive, linear (much like our Regular/aggressive now but optimized for less jerky low speed)
2. Normal throttle- Used for Daily Driving but aggressive and linear (much like the old SLT but optimized and linear)
3. Lite throttle- Like the Stock/WifeTip throttle but optimized to be linear and smooth

Manual Transmission
1. Sport Throttle- most aggressive and responsive.
2. Normal Throttle- more than stock but easier for Daily Driving.
3. Lite Throttle- more than stock but 5% less than Normal.

What can be tuned on my vehicle?
• Tune for different fuel types (87, 91+ Octane)
• Tune for different tire sizes (Stock, 31.6″, 33″, 35″, etc)
• Tune for different gearing ratios (Stock, 4.88, 5.29)
• Speed limit governor removal
• AGM Battery Tuning ($50)

What is the AGM Battery option?
• Only for those with a long life high output AGM type battery.
• Ability to increase the output voltage of the alternator from the stock 13.7v to up to 14.9v to help charge AGM type or other aftermarket batteries. A great option if you run a ton of accessories in tandem.

Will I get better MPG?
• Generally yes, most individuals see an average 3+mpg increase. However, the range of increase will depend on your driving style and set up.
• After a tune, some users will drive much more aggressively, thus gain very little MPG, if anything at all.

Is tuning detectable by the dealer?
• The tunes do not modify the OEM ID, which means it will always report back as “stock”.

Will this void my warranty?
• Technically tuning your vehicle could potentially void your vehicle’s warranty. Because it is up to Toyota to decide what will and will not void your warranty. If you notify your dealership (AK Guam) that you engine is tuned, then they can use that against you to deny a repair. We make no guarantees or promises that tuning will uphold your vehicle’s warranty, HOWEVER many of our customers have had their trucks at AK with no warranty problems or issues. Please use your best discretion when considering tuning your vehicle.

How long does it take?
• The Tuning flash takes a few quick minutes.
• The Toyota TSB Updates take about 10 minutes.

Can we change tunes?
• Yes, within two weeks you are allowed to change options within your package, free of charge.
• After two weeks, there will be a $50 charge to change options within your package.

Can my vehicle be tuned back to stock?
• Absolutely!

Are refunds available?
• Yes, within 30 days. We are required to return your vehicle back to stock before a refund is processed.
• After 30 days, we can return your truck back to stock at your request, however refunds will not be given after 30 days.

Why do you need my VIN?
• As per OVTune’s VFTuner licensing process, we are required to register your VIN to perform a tune for your specific truck. Through this, your truck will now be tuneable by any registered tuner nationwide.

Will my truck pass smog?
• We have had reports with no issues on our stock trucks with a tune passing smog. We do not guarantee that you will due to your mods, but a stock truck SHOULD pass smog with our tunes.

Preferred payment method is PayPal or Google Pay. It is easy, and limits physical contact.

Cash is okay.

All other payment methods will be rejected.

Email through Craigslist, include preferred contact information, then we can continue from there. If you change your mind midway, please tell me, my feelings won’t be hurt. It is far better than me waiting on flakes.
