Description:

At Mid Columbia Bus Company our mechanics are considered the glue that holds our operation together. We rely on our mechanics to maintain the mechanical condition of school buses and support vehicles using effective preventive maintenance procedures, diagnosis, and repairs. Your duty as the Shop Foreman to guide and assist them in completing the tasks that we need to maintain operational excellence. A high performing Shop Foreman would be able to effectively delegate tasks while assisting technicians by helping with tasks, directing workflow, and assessing performance and giving feedback.

Primary Responsibilities:

Directing, supervising, and training staff

Monitor inventory levels and replenish supplies as needed

Creating maintenance schedules and ensure their completion

Managing workflow with the ability to anticipate, detect, and address factors that impede operations.

Skill Requirements:

Advanced knowledge of safety regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Excellent communication skills

Excellent leadership and team management skills

Task and time management skills

Advanced knowledge of diesel vehicle repair and maintenance

Advanced knowledge of propane-fueled vehicles and systems

Understanding of fleet maintenance scheduling best practices

Knowledge of Cummins Insite and various OBD2 scanners

Must have your own tools.

Day Shift

Monday to Friday

Overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

Twin Falls, ID – Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required.)

Experience:

5+ years of diesel/bus repair and maintenance experience required

Prior Experience as a lead technician is required

License/Certification Requirements:

CDL-B required.
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification preferred.
