Radio Events and Engagement

Work to develop direct engagement events focused around local creative culture.
Work with the Social Media Manager to promote upcoming events.
Plan, strategize, execute, lead, and review quarterly fundraising events.

Essential Events/Engagement Duties:
Sell and provide design input for general station and/or event specific merchandise.
Track apparel sales and maintain the “swag bin” for events.
Communicate event info with Station Manager, Social Media Manager, and Development.
Coordinate volunteers for engagement events.
Coordinate a presence at creative community events (i.e. Earth Day, Pride Parade, Wild Walk etc).
Schedule engagement opportunities throughout the year, throughout the community, and along with the
Executive Director and other staff, be the face of the organization.
Attend weekly Staff Meeting at least once monthly.
Communicate event updates and strategies in Slack channel.

Desired skills:
Ability to work independently.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Graphic design and sound reinforcement technical skills are a plus.
Knowledge of local creative community.
Connections to local event infrastructure (venues).
Broadcast and/or non-profit organization experience.

Reports To: Executive Director

Compensation:
20$/hr x 2 hrs/wk base rate to develop “signature” events (more available to lead each quarterly event)
20% of door and merch profit from events held outside the quarterly events
Must hold an Independent Contractor Exemption Certificate from The State (reimbursement possible)
