The Adobe Town Horse Management Area is located in south-central Wyoming between Interstate 80 and the Colorado/Wyoming border. Of the 472,812 acres, 444,744 acres are public BLM. Elevations range from 6,600 feet to 7,800 feet in this area of colorful eroded desert badlands to wooded buttes.

Battle Highway Scenic Byway & The Edison Monument

The Battle Highway along Wyoming’s Highway 70 across the Sierra Madre Mountains from Encampment to Baggs, Wyoming. There are historic sites along the way such as the Edison Monument. The monument commemorates where Thomas Edison while fishing on Battle Lake, got the idea for the first light bulb filament!

Medicine Bow National Forest

The Medicine Bow National Forest provides year-round recreation with opportunities for hiking, biking, camping, horseback riding, ORV riding, fishing, and hunting. In the winter and fall seasons, there is snowshoeing, snowmobiling, skiing, and snowboarding.
