Nighttime Bicycling In Coos Bay/North Bend

Looking for 1+ adventurous companions to go biking with me around the North Bend/Coos Bay area at dusk & at night. On road, with occasional connector trails.

It is a whole ‘nother world after dark. Speed isn’t important, and novelty makes all the back alleys, side streets & trails are so much more FUN!

Nighttime riding is NOT significantly more dangerous, despite what you might initially think. I’ve been doing it for months, and generally don’t compete with cars at all: stick to side streets where possible, ride close to the curb, and just get off the road as a car approaches from the rear. That said, riding with others makes it safer, and so allows us to go further afield. And if you dress properly, you’ll stay quite warm as well.

Full nighttime safety equipment required: helmet, rear view mirror, good front & rear lights. Ideally, reflective clothing. Bike in good working order. MTB strongly recommended.

Time is by agreement, and might be night of the week. Meet at one of our homes, an arranged place, or perhaps 7 Devils.
