General Manager

Pasqual’s Cantina is locally owned & operated and has been a Madison staple for the last 30+ years. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as the General Manager of our Middleton location!

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient running and profitability of the restaurant, managing employees, enforcing policies and procedures, ensuring quality, store appearance and customer satisfaction.

Area of Responsibility:

• Hire, train, develop and lead a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and professional staff dedicated to quality and outstanding customer service
• Prepare schedules to ensure proper staffing for the Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) with adherence to targeted Labor Costs
• Ensure accurate completion of New Hire Packets and maintain personnel files
• Ensure knowledge of the entire food & drink menus
• Coach and develop staff skill sets to generate future Supervisors and Managers
• Ensure that all recipes are being followed and appropriate equipment is being used for food preparation
• Provide assistance to Kitchen Manager and Owner for ordering food and beverage
• Maintain cleanliness and orderly appearance of the restaurant and storage areas at all times
• Facilitate required repairs and maintenance of BOH equipment in conjunction with Kitchen Manager
• Ensure adherence and compliance with all health and safety codes by appropriate governing jurisdiction
• Responsible for cash management, store security and employee and customer safety
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Requires a minimum of 45 hours per week
• Work a designated set schedule that is coordinated with the Operations Manager.
• Attend Serv-safe training
• Possess Wisconsin Operators License
• Professional and respectful communication with clients and co-workers
• Minimum 2 years related work experience
• Must be able to work some evenings and a weekend day
