Feb 1: Experience a beautiful, mountaintop Vermont escape only 5 miles from downtown White River Junction and 10 miles from DHMC hospital!

Furnished private bedroom with new, queen-size bed and large closet in a 2-story, 3 bedroom home (with mini gym!) Home shared with a healthcare worker roommate and a park services engineer. Currently searching for 1 more roommate for the 3-bedroom house.

Utilities included in rent price: reliable high-speed WiFi, plowing, mowing, and electric up to first $100/month.

PLEASE NOTE: Heat is additional – a combo of wood and central heat (propane). Road and driveway will require AWD or snow-tires in winter.

Washer/dryer, One full bath; one 1/2 bath. Private gym in basement with multi-functional squat / press / pull-down / leg lifts bench, elliptical, stationary bike, and free weights on a padded gym floor.

More on available bedroom: Cozy with nice wooden furniture and pretty views. Queen-size bed on a basic metal frame, large closet, a desk, dresser and wooden shelving and is on second floor adjacent to master bedroom.

The 30-acre grounds / surrounding woods are gorgeous! Crystal-clear, 15? deep swimming pond and dock, fruit and berry trees of all kinds including raspberries, blueberries, mulberries, apple, pear, plum and peach trees, and front-yard vineyard. Great for x-country skiing and hiking to App Trail head and maintained / groomed historic snowmobile trail.

This is a Vermont house in the woods off the beaten trail and as such sometimes there will be typical such issues such as road problems, mud season and occasional small rodent issues when there isn’t a resident kitty. Half-bath is unfinished and in basement only for emergencies such as when someone’s in the shower. (basement is otherwise off-limits due to owner storage, other than area with gym.)

As mentioned above, you will need a reliable vehicle to get back and forth from town. If there is snow, snow tires or four-wheel drive are recommended. The free Upper Valley shuttle has a stop in the center of Norwich, 10 minutes away from the house. Dartmouth Coach bus and/or Amtrak train arrives directly from New York and Boston into WRJ and Hanover.

King Arthur flour espresso cafe, cooking classes and bakery headquarters are 10 minutes away. 15 minutes away: 4 local co-ops. Great local restaurants in Hanover and Norwich include Hanover Inn’s Pine, Carpenter & Main, and the Norwich Inn.
