We have several different positions open on our paving and mill crews, from experienced laborers to heavy equipment operators. We operate on-site anywhere from northern to southern Maryland. Call for more details!

Available Positions:
Paver & Milling Machine Operators:
Operates specified heavy equipment (asphalt paver and/or milling machine). Controls location, direction, speed and loading of asphalt materials. Coordinates with supervisor, screed/sensor operator, and other crew members including dump truck drivers.
Paver Screed/Sensor Operators:
Operate the mechanical shaping apparatus (screed/sensor) on paver or milling machine. Primarily responsible for the formation (depth/width) of a newly formed mat of asphalt concrete or milled lane. Coordinates with supervisor, machine operator, and other crew members including dump truck drivers.
Roller Operators:
Operates specified heavy equipment. Controls direction, speed, and vibration of equipment in order to compact asphalt to desired conditions. Coordinates activities with supervisor, quality control, and other crew members to accomplish established operation goals.
Bobcat Operator:
Operates specific equipment (bobcat) with attachments such as buckets, mill heads and sweepers to support mill and paver crews.
Lute/Raker-Asphalt Paving:
Specialized labor position requiring the use of a lute (specialized asphalt cement shaping tool) to manually rake and shape a new mat of asphalt cement to specified shape and dimensions. Coordinates with supervisor, screed/sensor operator, and other crew members to correctly form asphalt mat for compaction.
Experienced Hot Mix Asphalt Laborer:
A hot mix asphalt laborer will perform manual duties including transporting and preparing materials, assisting with the application of hot mix asphalt and the clean-up of the work area. Job duties may also include other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:
Ability to communicate with crew members.
Ability to work extensive time outdoors including in high heat/high humidity environments. 
Flexibility: Work hours vary. Day and night work possible.
All positions will require at least 6 months of asphalt experience.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and field test.
