Executive Kitchen Manager

Javelina Leap Vineyard & Winery is located in Northern Arizona wine country just 20 minutes south of Sedona. We are Arizona’s most awarded winery and we are one of the state’s original wineries and tasting rooms. We are looking for dynamic, positive individuals who love food and wine and this is a great opportunity to work for our boutique, family winery where we strive on quality customer service all while having a great time!

Duties and Responsibilities
• Must represent Javelina Leap Vineyard Vision and Values
• Ideally 2 years of cooking & supervisory experience in some type of food service setting
• Has an interest in learning about wine and how it pairs with food
• Manages, leads, and motivates the kitchen team
• Works with other department managers to streamline services, problem solve as needed
• Recruits, interviews, hires, trains, schedules, and provides ongoing development of kitchen team members
• Monitors and improves of food and labor cost systems
• Creates efficient, cost effective yet delicious dishes as needed
• Plan, organize & prepare meals for wine club monthly events
• Prepares daily production list
• Places food and supply orders through our supplier
• Completes line-checks to ensure all stations are stocked with quality food equipment
• Works directly with Event Coordinator in preparation for planned events
• Has strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work calm and effectively under pressure
Must have or willing to obtain Food Manager’s Certificate
