Delivery Driver

Job Description – Delivery Driver; Full-Time

In this position, applicant will deliver wholesale orders to retail locations throughout northern California and Bay Area. Driver will be assigned a delivery schedule which may change week to week depending on customer need. At times, driver may need to transport products from local farms to the distribution facility.

Compensation: Starting $22.00 per hour depending on experience. Emerald Group will provide your work vehicle.

Work Hours: Hours and/or days may vary and will be determined by number of deliveries. Scheduling can be flexible but will be based on client need.

Responsibilities:
• Deliver orders from our licensed distribution facility to retail locations using most practical route to ensure timely delivery
• Pick up or transport products between licensed facilities
• Acquire company and product knowledge sufficient to respond to client questions in a proficient and competent manner
• Cross training as assistant inventory manager, in case of illness or injury. Other job-related activities as needed

Qualifications and Experience:
• Must be 21+ years old and hold a valid California Driver’s License; (a DMV driving record is required to apply)
• Live Scan background check required
• Reliable, punctual with clear and concise written and spoken communication
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Professional and proactive customer service skills with a calm, friendly and positive attitude
• Must be able to quickly adapt to a changing work environment and remain professional
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy on invoices and manifests
• Willing to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive customer service environment
• Ability to operate basic office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, tablets, GPS systems, POS systems, money counters and mobile devices
• Must have a working smartphone, cellular-data, mobile device for real-time software
• Ability to lift 25 pounds
