Campbell Hausfield VT612202, 3HP 220V Air Compressor
I bought this new in 1989, it’s a Campbell Hausfield VT612202, 3HP 220V Air Compressor. While you can see it’s mounted on wall of my garage, it originally came as a roller with handle and wheels. I still have these parts. In 2002 I discovered a series of small leaks from corrosion in the tank and replaced this with a item from C/H. The original 20 gallon tank wasn’t available any longer so I was sent the 26 gallon unit. In order to try to prevent this problem again, when the new tank arrived, I filled it with a product supplied by Eastwood called “Carroless”, a rust preventative paint. I rolled the tank over and over throughout the day in hopes of coating the inside the tank. This was over 20 years ago and no signs of leaks so far. I replaced a bad shut off switch a couple years later with C/H part and have not had issues since. While the compressor runs daily and is reliable, it does seep a film of oil below compressor unit. BTW this is cast iron part on this model. While I typically check the oil weekly, I did hear a change in operational noise at one point, I filled the compressor back to bottom of threaded fill plug and it’s been running great since, this was approximately 4 years ago. The serpentine drive belt is on it’s last legs and will need replacement. Overall it’s a good compressor that could use some freshening up, gaskets, belt, etc. I do have the owner’s manual. I installed a quick release tank drain which makes it easy to drain. Will keep installed on wall shelf so purchaser can hear run. Hose not included. I also have the belt enclosure for it.
Price is $175
