BOH Needed for New BBQ Restaurant
We are a brand-new roadside BBQ restaurant staffing up for our launch 1/25/23.
We are seeking general FOH and BOH support including line cooks / pit masters, and counter service. We’ll happily train the right person for the right job so no related experience is required, but previous restaurant, or customer service experience is strongly desired. All staff members will be required to have a current CA food handlers license or a Serve Safe Certification. We will reimburse for new licenses or certifications.
We are looking to invest in a few highly motivated folks to grow into management positions including Sous Chef, FOH Manager, etc.
Jobs & Responsibilities:
Cook
• Build and monitor fire in outdoor smokers
• Maintain proper temperatures, learn and master proper smoking techniques.
• Maintain a clean and orderly outdoor cooking area, and scrape/clean smoker grates as necessary.
• May require early morning or late night shifts.
• Prepare all served food
• Support the Executive Chef in planning food production and preparing regular food orders
• Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions
• Follow standard recipes and special diet orders
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances
