Bindery Technician $22.50-$24.50/hr

A qualified person to join our team is sought by a family-owned printing and mailing company in lovely Bozeman, Montana. An position for a Bindery Technician is presently available. The ideal candidate will have bindery experience, excellent communication skills and a high degree of mechanical aptitude. Wage is $22.50 – $24.50 per hour, DOE. This is a full-time position during our business hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday-Friday.

Essential Job Functions
• Sets up, operates, and adjusts bindery and mailing equipment as needed.
• Maintains machines in good working order by cleaning and servicing, performs minor repairs when necessary, utilizes tech support when necessary, keeps work and storage areas orderly.
• Read job orders to determine instructions and specifications for job.
• Perform all bindery functions related to workflow (Cut, fold, stich, drill, insert, seal, meter, tabbing, addressing, and machine sorting mail).
• Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards, spot checking for errors.
• Process and handle mailings in accordance with governmental/postal regulations and ensures proper sorting, metering, labeling, and delivery of mail or other orders as assigned.
• Package objects for shipping (boxes, pallets, etc.).
• Unload materials or equipment, sometimes utilizing forklift or pallet jack.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications
• Prior experience in bindery functions preferred.
• Organized and efficient; excellent time management skills
• Ability to multi-task and effective problem solver.
• Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
• Succeeds in deadline-driven environment to meet customer needs.

Physical Requirements
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
